Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County is a 501(c)3 organization. Donating goods to the ReStore will usually qualify you for a tax deduction on your taxes. Schenectady Habitat will provide you with a receipt at the time of your donation to be used for your tax purposes.
The Donor is advised that if a tax deduction on a gift is to be taken, the Internal Revenue Service has regulations for filing tax-deductible contributions. It is the responsibility of the donor to report in-kind donations to the Internal Revenue Service in keeping with current IRS regulations.
