Building a more equitable New York

Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County

For centuries, racist housing policies denied BIPOC New Yorkers the strength and stability of homeownership.

We’re working to change that.

Who We Are

We partner with working families, sponsors, and communities to build safe, decent, affordable homes and promote successful home purchase and ownership.

Our Projects

Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County will reach a major milestone in 2023 –our 30th Anniversary! We thank the 56 Habitat Homeowners who have allowed us to do the work we love to do. We thank the many, many volunteers, community leaders and all who have joined hands to help first time home buyers achieve the American Dream. We’re looking forward to the next 30 years!
